HOYER/PELOSI SAY IT’S NOT AMERICAN TO DISAGREE WITH THEM:  In other words, if you believe in freedom, representative democracy, and the right of dissent, you are not patriotic.  Sundries Shack breaks it down in more detail. 

CENSUS SHENANIGANS: The Wall Street Journal explains how the census is going to count illegal aliens as part of the population, affecting the number of representatives each state has in Congress. 

THE WAIT DEBATE:  A look at the re-emerging debate about whether or not evangelicals should get married young or wait until later in life.  Pretty evenhanded analysis from a non-Christian perspective.

IS WILL SMITH A SCIENTOLOGIST?:  Who cares?  The more important question is “When are they going to make Independence Day 2?”

OBAMA BY STATE:  Gallup has poll results of Obama’s approval by state through the first six months of his administration.  Since it includes poll results from January through June, the approval numbers are probably slighter higher than if the polls were done today.  Still interesting, though.

NORTH KOREA KIDNAPPED JOURNOS NOT TOO BRIGHT:  Turns out those two journalists taken hostage by North Korea may have been asking for it a little bit.  Glad everything turned out all right for them, but at what cost to U.S. foreign policy?

ASTROTURF IS EXPENSIVE:  If you want to know which protests are real grassroots and which are artificial astroturf, check out which side has professionally made signs and a bus with  a billboard on it.  Their protests may not occur naturally, but the hypocrisy does.
